Every Rule Was Made To Break, Even Callook...

« on: October 02, 2010, 14:25:51 pm »

Is there a machine-shop out there who could fabricate the brackets to mount Wilwood Calipers on my front VW-spindles ?
I could make a template out of nylon, maybe somebody did it before ?

Thanks,
Harry

Danny, are the spindles modified or are there brackets ?? The pads on this set-up cannot be secured (?).
I will be using stock discs.

Thanks,
Harry

I welded brackets to stock 67 spindles. Just have not put pads in, The car is just mocked up and is not final assembled yet, Plus I did not want any grease or oil getting on pads while setting around. The front hats and rotors are NEIL brand and might be different off set than stock, Never compared the two. If this helps and if they are still in business , Porterfield in costa mesa CA. 949 548-4470 very good price's in wilwood products. I did the brakes 6-7 years ago. I hope this helped in someway.

Thanks Danny, i have some universal stamped steel (thin ? US made) brackets for my Wilwoods, but i don't trust my welding skills to weld these to cast spindles.
