This is really a nice topic! Maybe we should also start one with "flying Lookers"!  Grin

This should be moved to the Lightening Thread...

A girl I've known since fourth grade shoots pictures for the AAA California Speedway. She captured this image at Bug-In 36, this year. [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Now THAT is cool! A full weight show car with all the chrome and bling hanging in the air.

I have to say that I prefer a power wheelie in front of the typical "too-much-clutch-wheelie" we often see our cars doing.

Sorry I can't just put the photo here, but it belongs to Mike Morgan, the track photograper at Irwindale. You should check out some of his other photos, they are killer.

I NEVER imagined I would ever be posting on this thread, not with a 1600 single port (even with the blower!), and I don't think Mike photoshopped it......

Mooneyes Xmas party yesterday.  I was invited to bring the car out and run it.  George Schmidt and Augie Delgado thrashed on it to add a bigger bottom pulley to increase the blower speed and they changed out the firemaker Carter YH with a 45 DCOE with a barrel milled off.  Needless to say, the little engine likes it, but right after the photo, it bogged HARD and stalled.  Jetting issues, but I could care less.  It was a great day.  Lots of head scratching from the hotrod crowd.

Here's a shot with the tow vehicle.  I should have raced it too...........................

Jim, it's a factory 327/300hp, 4spd, 12 bolt posi and tach wagon.

My parents bought one similar to it when I was born.  Same color, Madeira Maroon.  My kids call it "Sleepy".  I think the ragtop would have gone faster in the 1/8th if the wagon was pulling it.......................
