The stage is set for the showdown in Abu Dhabi. Only one driver will walk away with the crown. Yes, Red Bull has taken the constructors title and deserve it. But it is in the drivers where the hearts live and beat.
My money is going on Alonso and the Awesome Ferrari Grin
For me, this is going to be a Super Bowl weekend!

Fangio.

You're about 53 years to late.

I got to meet him, get is autograph and watch him drive at the Monterey Historics the year that MB was featured.

Fangio.
In modern era cars he would do about ten laps (maybe) then come in white faced and with a cramp in his neck!
Webber is certainly a worthy driver as is Hamilton. If either of them win i will be happy for them too. As for Vettle, it's to be seen if he can hoist himself up and not make any mistakes.
I don't think Alonso "cheats" either, he just follows his teams orders . He is as worthy a driver as anyone today.

I don't know who will win, I lost interest in F1 years ago.

Teflonso not a cheat?  Grin Two FIA hearings ("spygate" and "crashgate"), two times a mystery witness and he walks off two times.

Hope Webber wins, don't like his spoiled brat team mate neither.

he's been involved in 2 of the sports biggest on track incidents in recent years and has managed to come out of them unscathed why does he have candid (al a Max Mosley) photos of the entire FIA management board?

Flavio is out, Alonso is still in, court is over.
I am asking who you think will win the Championship in 2010.
This was a new season, with new rules, new tracks, new teams, new drivers, new stewards etc etc etc.
Alonso started a fresh new year at Ferrari, who've been on team orders since day one I might add, and he has proven his worth.
He can pull a fast lap and put on a pass when he needs to. He is a courageous and powerful team leader who was given the #1 Driver position at Ferrari because he is the better of their two drivers. What can I say. He is my hope and choice.
May the Best man win.

Well, I guess "El Banco" showed what he is made of based from his gestures at Petrov after the finishing line  Grin

The team strategys played a big roll in the outcome for all the drivers, good or bad. Red Bull should take as much credit as Vettle. Ferrari take as much blame as Alonso. But, I have a feeling there is probably a Mob hit out on Petrov right now!
I must say I now have more respect and admiration for Vettle than ever before. Looking at his talent and age, he could be the one that has a chance to eclipse Michael Schumacher's awesome records. No doubt he is the champion for 2010.
Congratulations Sebastian Vettle!

Had Petrov given way the outcome of 2010 would have been really sad as Alonso would have won with the points that Massa handed over him in Germany.

Ferrari seems to still have the same strategist who crapped few of Räikkönen races.

perhaps...   Roll Eyes
http://www.jamesallenonf1.com/2010/11/how-did-ferrari-make-that-strategy-mistake-with-alonso/

Seb won fair and square.
Renault acted as if under Red Bull team orders slowing up Alonso and Hammy.
Painful the lack of Red Bull cooperation watching Weber use up 2 laps on his tires timing a pass around an entry level Red Bull driver.
No team orders and all Red Bull drivers trying to pull each other down.

So is it true since Red Bull sells sodas not cars, they don't care as much as other teams about the Driver's championship?
Sounds like BS for not helping Weber while at the same time next year Seb will clearly be treated as Red Bull #1 driver.
Red Bull gave the advantage to Alonso going in to the last race, but Seb saved the day.
After Brazil Alonso might have been the one most impressed with the Red Bull driver championship strategy.

Well, Red Bull is powered by Renault to whom the WDC title should matter/flatter a little bit too, and it was Alonso who walked from crashgate unscratched, same cannot be said for Renault which lost some big sponsors like ING, so payback time?  Wink

fwiw Alonso was later quoted complimenting Petrov for his drive.
Speed Ch cut away, missed that, surprised to see the link still working.  Grin

Petrov and Kubica both improved themselves with those drives.  Cool
Providing the engines for the RB champions would be a feather.
With the Renault engine package you get 2 mid field blockers.   Wink

Massa even spoke out about the track and the inability to pass at Yas Marina.........F1 next year, moving rear wings from the cockpit, extra "boost" button for passing. "Boost" is somehow stored up under braking........high tech stuff!

Isn't that the same KERS they ran last year and axed for this year?

it is but rather than some teams running it they are all going to be running it don't know if it will make that much difference to overtaking though Undecided
should be good for Mclaren though as they seem to have their KERS system pretty well sorted  Grin

It might be optional, Steve M on Speed Ch said some of the slower teams are so far behind in development/lap times that they plan to get a couple seconds a lap out of the car w/o Kers before they thin their resources developing a Kers system.
F1 Kers racing a couple years ago was similar with some teams preferring to race without the Kers/weight penalty.
I think F1 likes Kers because they can market their brand of racing as more environmental/green.
Like Bridgestone marketing the environmental sensitive citrus based racing tires.
But last time the Kers was used in F1 only 2 or 3 teams used it all season, most abandoned it.
Remember Kimi jumping out of his Ferrari avoiding grounding himself with one foot on the ground one on the car, concerned his crappy Kers was going to zap him.   Undecided
Fwiw someone said last year’s Lotus team is switching to the Renault engine/Kers with a Red Bull transmission and black/gold colors.
Only 4 months till the first race of 2011. Smiley

Has anyone heard more about the movable rear wing to lessen downforce for passing. I read that only the trailing car will have the ability to move the wing in order to pass?

one option I had heard banded about was that teams like Mclaren (who had a KERs system that worked well) may sell their system to other teams rather than teams pile money and efforts into developing their own systems
