Hello everyone, just wanted to share some pictures of the new project I started. The story behind the car is way to long but anyway: I started the work on this 67 about ten years ago. It was to be a present from my dad to my mom, but a lot of things happened lately, so I got the car. Now about the car itself: body was partly sandblasted and welded up as factory specs, the floorpan and all the bolt on parts were also sandblasted and painted. Every bolt, nut and washer was sandblasted and cadnium plated or seomething like that. But now I'll the pictures speak for themselves: Here some pictures of the parts that came with he car: I know some of you won't consider it to be a Cal Looker because of the chroom trim, but I'm keeping it. It will be some kind of DKP III -style car. Regards Wim.

Wim, first off... beautiful looking car. Second, worry not what people say/think about retaining the factory trim and what's Cal Look or not. Third, you've already answered your post in the above sentence. 'Cause D.K.P. accepts Cal Look cars only. Have fun building your Cal Looker and we're looking forward to seeing more updated pictures of it.

The plans for the motor: something around 2100cc, fuel injected and most of all driveble for the street. I plan to use it as much as I can...

Just time for a little update: The stock parts of the electrics are almost done. Everything is connected and instead of putting in a new loom, I decided to give it a littel bit of a clean up. Guess it came out ok. And this is how it all looks under the hood. One door is allmost done, just waiting for some parts to replace the rubbers of the quaterlights. And just one shot from under the fuelcell. Some parts will be changed or added (dual master cilinder and a line-lock). Thursday will be a fine day as I'm expecting some parts to be delivered but I'll keep you updated

Time for an update: most of the parts for the interior have arrived so I got started with it. Still a lot to do but here's a preview... The front of the car is almost finished: wings are bolted on using stainless steel bolts and washers, wingbeading is mounted as are the indicatorss with clear Hella lenses. Next on is the rearend with all red lenses (just prefer the one color look) Greetz Wim

just a thought, but why not opt for a smaller inlet valve with the fk7? if not mistaken i think you are after torque and a smaller fastfollowing inlet just will fit this idea better IMHO...
otherwise this car looks really nice. the Wunderyearclub is coming out with some nice machinery it seems...

Just wanted to share some more pictures/ Not a lot of updates on the car. Today I pushed her out of the garage so she could bathe in the sun. The color comes out lovely I think. Now the garage is empty as the car is brought away to fit the headliner. In this picture you can see the Cosmic cruiser pedal (which was bought here at the lounge) that was a bitch to get right but the result makes it worthwhile... Tomorrow is going to be a very nice day, the new wheels are coming in. But tomorrow more about this...

Hi Harry, thanks for the support. CB Quick tune is about to arrive in April, but it won't be for EBI to get it installed (have to build the engine first). But I'll keep you updated. Hope to get the engine (2165), gearbox and EFI installed by DDD. If I make EBI, it will be with a temperary small 1500 engine with dual port heads and IDF 36's. Greetz Wim

So as promised, some pictures of the wheels that have arrived yesterday. Get ready for some wheelporn: I started to clean up the seats and doorpanels. You can see the difference between the clean seat and the not cleaned yet seat. Also cleaned up a doorpanel. Looks good for over 40 year old interior. Next on was give the frontbeam a coat of paint: So that's it for now. See you back soon for more updates.

Hi Christoph, I've used a steam cleaner I bought very cheap (Belgian readers should read this as 'in den Aldi') to clean the doorpanels and seats. Greetz Wim
