hello,

Since i'am building my beetle ('59) to be my daily driver when finished, I would like to know who else drives his looker on a daily basis.
Could you post some pic's and interesting info (engine, suspension, brakes, maintenance, technical failures, tires, wheels, stories, things to keep in mind when building,...)
I want my looker to be pretty comfy and reliable so i can have the most fun of my restoration works.

Thanks,

Philip

thanks jim,

is that the only looker that hits the street on a daily base? There must be more lookers overhere that use there beetle frequently.

I use my 66 as a daily driver all year long, run a small "hot" motor and can tell you that IDAs work fine in cold weather too..
Car has being on the road 8 years now after a full body off restoration, but are now star to show some small sign off daily use, well I have fun driving it every day... Wink

I used to drive this car almost daily in the Fresno area.  2176 with 120 cam and 4.12 with 1.48 and 1.04 gears.

Not a real Cal Looker but this is my Driver. 1915cc 40 Dells. I used to drive Lukes 67 before this. Well, I had a 66 Nova Wagon in between.
