yep for me only the red 67 and may be the grey 57 are cal look
the convert & bus are more resto cal

For some unknown (to me) reason, Bill Fisher and the Lowrys had a falling out. Not sure why, but things changed once Bill's book was in production. So, the photo was taken, like the rest at Carlsbad, but it was never used. Notice how the back cover photos don't match...

My understanding is that there may have been pressure from Joe for Fisher not to give too much coverage in Dean's direction after their falling out when Dean left to form DDS. That's what Dean hinted at when I raised the matter of the relationship between him and Joe Vittone. True? Not true? Who knows. Maybe Bill Fisher does… Is he still around?

Excellent history lesson, great photos and very good reading as well Deano. I learned many things I didn't know.
It's nice to see this stuff in print and recorded for future generations. Large thanks are due to you and your contributors. Looking forward to part 2.
