Hy guys,
I'm looking for interior pictures of DKP I/II cars, can anyone help?
I'm especially looking for modified dashboard pics (filled trim holes...)
Thanks in advance for your help,
Best R.

Pick up the bible, there are a few in there. Also, wasn't it here that i found a link to a website that had the Feb 75 HotVW scanned? I found some nice examples over there as well...
Good luck!

Thanks guys,
I've already got the bible and had a look at it but not all cars are featured, same for the Feb 75 HVW!
I found some interesting pics on Frenchy's website and blog too.
Thanks again,
Best R.

Hey Old School...Sorry, no pic's; but your post got me to thinking of how it was back in the day. The interior in my 63 sedan could best be described as "spartan." I never had the money for a nice interior...what little cash I had always found it's way to the engine compartment. In keeping with trying to go as fast as possible with small engine combos, shaving weight seemed the logical way to proceed. That meant stripping all the tar board from the floor, fiberglass bucket seats (Auto Haus) mounted to "field stripped" seat frames (I splurged here and had mine chromed), aluminum door panels, and removing as much inner door bracing as possible. The rear seat backrest was quickly discarded as well as the heater ducting under the back seat cushon. The "highlight " of my dash was an aluminum plate to cover the radio opening...I added some toggle switches and idiot lights for the "race look." Needless to say, with a close ratio box (4:37) and solid mounts, you couldn't hear yourself think after a few minutes behind the wheel... ! It's "interesting" to note that the car was only six years old when all that went down...still a newbie! Thanks for the memory jolt

Thanks a lot, I now know what were your priorities in the old days I guess mine are pretty much the same BTW what do you think of VDO gages in the speaker panel instead of autometer/monstergage? To me, VDOs capture much more the spirit even though autometer already existed in the 70's, what do you reckon? Best R. Oldschool

We used to sell the crap out of those when I did my time at Auto Haus. Don't be afraid to "think out of the box"...Greg Aronson used a Smiths tach (unheard of back then) in his ride !

Thank you Rune & Monkiboy for comforting me because I felt a bit puzzled when I read cedorUSA's answer!!! Personally, I don't want the 70s to happen again but as IT all started around this area, I guess that Real Cal Lookers should capture the spirit from then, that's just my personal opinion anyway Best R.
