These are my rims......I know that many people canīt understand, that I put 4 lugs on my oval, but I love them
The engine is going to be a 2110ccm with a Speedwell Sprint Kit, but first I have to finish my bug

hi mario , nice project
maybe a stupid question , but you don't have the adapters between manifolds & heads
i've 1200cc with an empi /speedwell sprintkit too

When I bought the setup on the Maikäfertreffen in Hannover, there was the linkage an one adapter missing. I didnīt like that thing with those adapters anyway, so I decided to go a different route
I designed an adapter with some modeling mass and then a friend of mine did some welding on the heads. Then he put them on his mill and after that, I did some porting on the heads and manifolds. Next up, Iīm goin to relocate the sparkplugs, so I can get some bigger valves in there, and get some 90,5 pistons / cylinders fitted. Compression should be set around 9,5:1
I was also a little concerned with the sparkplugs, but they fit fine
By the way, Limbach, a company that builds engines for aeroplanes based on type 1 engines, uses the Stromberg 150CD carbs on their 2,4l engines

My plans have changed a little bit, im going to put a 2276ccm engine in my oval now
I took me a pan, that was lying arround in our garage and built me a torque bar.
And yesterday I worked on a transmission mid mount....
...itīs just a model, but maybee I just put some paint on and mount it

Then I started putting things back together. Canīt wait driving down the road in it

Yes, itīs the same color
L412 Diamond green.
My original plan was, to paint the car in L240 agave, when I saw a bug in diamond green at the Maikäfertreffen in Hannover. The more I looked at it, the more I liked it

Guys, thanks.
My intention was, to do as much of the work by myself as possible. Learning by doing
Welding and bodywork was not that difficult. I did the paintjob in my garage at home. It looks better on the pictures than it actually is
The wiring did take some time to unterstand but turned out ok.
Making the new seatcovers for the recaros and the rear seat was quite a challenge, but I had no other choice.
When my girlfriend made some new seatcovers for her `72 standard bug, she was very proud of how they turned out. I said " I could have done that".
It was meant as a joke, but she took that for real
So I had to give that old Pfaff sewing machine a try. Iīm pretty happy with the result.
Some weeks ago I thougt, it couldnīt be that difficult, to make myself a new headliner. I lost my temper, quite a few times
So thatīs gonna be the only job that has to be done by somebody else.
