My first so hi to you all, i purchased this bug for my wife in 2007 and looked like this

Previous to this the car had two owners the first for nearly 40 years Smiley

i wanted her to stay like this but claire wanted me to lower her so she then looked like this

so that was it the car has been messed with so i took this out

and put this in

2332cc CB high roof case, Scat crank 84mm, CB H beam rods, 94mm B+P, Total seal rings, Engle FK10 cam, Scat lifters, Berg chromoly pushrods, Jaycee pushrod tubes, Scat 1.4 rockers, A1 1 3/4 Sidewinder exhaust ceramic header and stainless back box Vband clamp , Deep sump, Jeff Denham welded heads 44 x 37 valves heavily reworked with matching manifolds, Berg linkage, Fuel injection kit-CB throttle bodies, DTA .

Gearbox by Cogbox close 1,2 and 3 gears tall 4th for cruising all welded gears heavy duty side plate, superdiff Sway away short race axles.

then to stop i made these fit

so all is going well then i find loads of the ginger stuff bottom of door, some in the wings and heater channels. I found some NOS 65 doors and got hold of some day mouldings wings and painted them then started on the channels

she runs low 13s at the mo but will turbo over the winter and should be in to high 11s Smiley

the tele dials are going now ive saved up for these og burners Smiley

now thw wife wont drive it so it looks like shes mine Cheesy

took me 3 hours to make the exhaust manifold

the snakes nest Cheesy

seams to take ages but getting there now got weld it all up then start on tha charge cooler

1 mod the exhaust manifold
2 make turbo flange and mount turbo
3 make inlet pipework
4 mount chargecooler
5 make plenums for throttle bodies
6 remove engine take a part and lower compresion ratio 9.5:1 to 8.5:1
7 remove gearbox, solid mount make and fit torque bars
8 upgrade clutch
9 fit engine
10 fit rear coil overs

racing woo

bit more, made a thing i call it a black tank with a pump on the end. As i dont have a swirl pot i need to make sure i have fuel presure all the time as i dont want any melted heads or pistons lol basically the fuel system has two returns one from the low low presure and one from the high.

The low presure pump under the tank (front) supplys the fuel to the tank (back) and returns whats not used keeping a constant presure of 1 bar to the high presure pump that supplies the engine fuel rail and then returns to the tank down the third line so fingers crossed it should never let me have low fuel presure fingers crossed and gives the fuel time to cool a bit more than just taking straight from the tank Smiley

bit better under here now Smiley

everthing tight and wired up in here

kafer bar fitted an coil overs fitted and adjusted
