Whatever happened to the old DDA Pro Stocker that Dean Lowry drove in the early '90s, was crashed by Douchebag Don Cossey in '94 and then was rebuilt and later crashed again at Irwindale?  I've read the account of what happened and why it crashed, but was curious as to the status of the car now.  I was watching the video footage of the first Drag Day held at Irwindale back in 2001 or 2002, saw the crash and I was just wondering what was happening with the car after that unfortunate crash.

I saw that crash 8 or so years ago in person, pretty scarey, I remember the motor separating from the car and rolling down the track.  I thought that the owner (Mark Reilly?) was slowly rebuilding it....but I believe he passed away a few years back also.

IIRC, it's now in Norway, with a Ghia shell slowly being added to it. I'll have a better look later.

I saw it at Irwindale, too. Had to be 2002. Wicked wreck.

Oh yes Neil....I remember the complaining from a few years ago about the Ghia body plans....

Please Note:  Stop with any complaints about the addition of a Karmann Ghia body to Dean Lowry's Pro-Stock Super Beetle. Originally, it was Dean's intention to run a Ghia body in Pro-Stock, before the roof height rules came into affect (lame  Roll Eyes). Don't believe me? Look closely at the roll bar height and note that it fits a Karmann Ghia body perfectly. Need more verification? PM or E-Mail Marla Lowry.
