The material looks awesome but I would hate to sit on it.

yes, but sit down before you read the price...  Grin

the colors available are #87 mesh red - #74 blue cord - #71 brown cord

and its $200 per yard... on average complete front & rear seats need 5 to 6 yards depending on model

( check with who is going to sew the covers for you before you make a purchase... )

Anthony / ISP WEST

sorry to post on here again but I've managed to pick up a rear seat back on German eBay in the correct material so there should be enough on the seat back to repair my front seat

PS i love white notches , good luck with the rebuild it's gonna be cool  Cool

okay, no problem.
Not much of an update right now.  I went to the customs last friday for officialy import the car and I started collecting parts, this week I will shoot some pictures of the new arrived parts  Roll Eyes.
I installed a new starter and I hired a steam cleaner for the interior.  The seats came out nice, not new but very acceptable with a "patina" touch...  Grin

if you want to register your car with an O plate and the car used to be a foreign car then you can only go to nazareth anymore since 1 nov.  This is for the SBAT group, maybe it's different in the dirty side of the country  Grin
So all you flemish people out there, keep this in mind!  Wink

Hi Guys,

A good day for me, I just received my license plate, nothing special in most cases but it's the last day here in Belgium we receive a small license plate.  Next week everybody will receive the european style plates which are way too big to look nice!

Also a vew goodies arrived and I already had some stuff laying around:

a very nice hurst shifter, now I need to find the plastic cover and the rubber, a nice reflector base because I had one with bad chrome and a chronograph to mount on my rear view mirror.

Also a pair of original swedish vw gravel guards, not 100% callook but I need them to cover up the holes the previous owner made to install some mudflaps...  I guess this is better then mudflaps!  Cheesy

And I lowered the front 2 splines, looks good!  better pictures will follow but it's hard to get a decent picture in my sleazy garage...  Undecided

these bad boys arrived last week.  I think they suit the car colour scheme pretty well.
Next week I'm gonna mount the tires: 145's in the front, 185/70 in the back.
pictures to follow!

Hi Dem,

nice one.
I would wind it down one spline at the back.

one spline will be too much, 1 inch would be my idea.

One spline would be just fine, I think it gives around 4 cm of drop. Just check Felix's ride which sits about perfect.
