This has probably been asked before, but does anyone know of a UK stockist of Hurst roll control (line lock) adaptors that allow you to use 10mm x 1mm VW brake line nuts ? I know Heritage sell them but are currently out of stock.

Hi! Try Speedflow in the U.K. They sell lots of adapters... I live in holland and got mine from Paruzzi ... they sell them as adaptors for Tarox brake calipers, but can be used in Line-Lock aplications. Good Luck

you are better off not using adapters.   buy some American brake lines, cut one end off, bend/shape to fit and put the vw line nut on and flare it out.  Both use 3/16 line less adapters means less chance off leaks.

That's interesting, I thought that you needed an adapter fitting for all brake lines as the ports on the line lock are just straight threaded holes with, as far as I can see, nothing for the flared brake pipe end to seal against.  Are American brake line ends formed differently?

Could you sort some out for me too Jim?
I need three of them to fit a proper valve in place of the manual one on the multi coloured car.
I'll give you a ring tomorrow, if I remember.

I know it doesn't allow you to use the original male fittings, but I've come up with a solution that's going to work for me, after speaking with Jim at cotsweld and slightly tweaking his idea.
I'm using 1/8NPT to M10x1.0 male adapters and M10x1.0 female 3/16" pipe connectors, with a single flare on the end of the pipe.

Got 3 of each from Rally Design for £11.05 delivered.
