I just bought myself a 4Qt sump, and I was wondering if it's a early Berg one.
The flange on the bottom is different for the 'modern' ones.

A Berg sump will say "Berg".

Yes,the later ones have nuts to fix it to the case that go inside,the earlier version has long studs to replace the factory studs in the case which pass all the way through the sump in tubes to mount it which from your picture looks like what you have
