hey guys,
just wanted to show my 58 vert that i have just got on the road.
it's my daily driver so it's running a vw paradise built 1600 for good gas mileage.
8" narrowed beam, vented front disks, fast fab t-bars, berg shifter, etc.
i know it's not pure cal look but hope you like.
cheers,
pip.

thanks patrick.
it's a stock crank, rods and new Mahle pistons and cylinders, Engle 100 cam, Empi straight cut gears, stock vw single port heads with new guides, polished valves, new bearings and hard wear. the carb is a new empi 30pict, 009 distributor, 12v alternator and lightened 6v flywheel.
runs perfect for a daily driver.
cheers,
pip.

That sounds like a real nice daily driver, and night cruiser Wink.  Just what i would like to build for mine.
Love the stock looking enginebay. Clean, simple and just added with some upgrades inside just to wake it some and for keeping up with todays trafic.

Regards Patrik

Hi Pip,

Its been a while! Good to hear your still tinkering with silly old VW's, it would be nice to catch up next time your in the UK.

I still see Russ every now and then so get to hear snippits of what you've been up to.

That looks like the right car for the local weather (that's your local weather!).

Hope all is well with you.

hey lee, longtime ,no speaky.
i'm actually not that into convertibles that much believe it or not but just keep ending up with them! does suit the weather here pretty well though.
much prefer a nice quick split or oval. trades anyone? Smiley
still can't hear "shout" by tears for fears without thinking back to us watching that VW video from the states over and over again! what was that.....1985?
jeez,we go back almost 30 years old man!!!
hope all's well.
cheers,
pip.

No danger of me getting over to the US for at least 2-3 years I would say but we hope to do a Disney trip when our 2 year old is a bit bigger and I'll needless to say be be doing as much VW stuff as I can get away with and it would be great to catch up!

As for Lee hes 50 apparently, still behaves like a 5 year old though.
