I've been wanting to change my interior for some time ... something more timeless, non-generational.
The look it has was IN at the time. Still very clean, but dated, somehow (90s). Wink
Post your thoughts and ideas; near everything is up for consideration, pending reason/reality. Wink

Exterior is Porsche Minerva Blue.
I'll post MY ideas and preferences as needed ... Hey, it's my car and I have a few ... just thought it'd be cool to hear other's ideas.
Winner may receive a prise, maybe not. Grin

Bring it to me, I'll take care of it Wink

Stock perforated vinyl headliner and german square weave carpet with stock floor mats. Vinyl/cloth seats with biscuts, pleats, or diamonds (gasp!) sewn in the cloth. Matching vinyl/cloth pattern on door panels with the bottom 3 1/2" in square weave. Colours are up to you, but I'd stick with something similar to what you've got there. Just different fabrics, and patterns.

Clean, classic, custom, and timeless.

How about redoing the center of seats all gray with same material and make matching gray door panels and some type of crome strip to break up door panels?

Hey Tom, Zach could give you the 70's traditional cal look treatment.  When I owned my teal green 67 (Burnout Contest Car) it had a tweed interior too.  I built the car in 94/95, about the time you probably did yours.  Zach has a taste for the early look.  I will post some shots of my door panels later this week. I wanted to take my chop top back to a more  traditional look too, changing the interior.

Your car looks good!

Hey Tom, I really like your whole car, and although the interior is not 'pure cal look' I think its cool, and lets not forget, some of the coolest, funkiest cars around today are ones that were NOT timeless, they DID date....

the attraction of them is that they're stuck firmly in a different era and while they were going out of style at one time they are now the leaders again!

Its OK not to be current  Cheesy Grin and why be timeless... Smiley

Just my tuppence though, I'm sure whatever happens it will still be a very cool car, and I know too well what its like to feel like the need for a change.

Keeping the same material and same colors, I'd just replace door panels with a more "conventional" pattern.

That would be easy, and help A LOT. I just can't stand tweed. It's like sandpaper!

Thanks for the kind words, Rick Smiley

Interior change...interesting subject. I'm doing it right now!!
I had stock interior for 15 years now...just because I was making stock car before somebody change my mind...(Bill).
Stock interior is nice but as someone mentioned it...."unique" is key factor for the "look". All stock look but big engine on the back  is  clean & nice and somehow on the trend of cal look but when you see one and only interior....nothing beat it's "Look"

The early biscuit look is making a comeback!   Long live the early Cal Look interiors!  Sorry about the terrible shots. They were taken with too much flash and don't do the door panels justice. I plan to have Zach do biscuit inserts in my seats later when I finish things up.

Nope. Why there are more fake D.K.P. cars in Europe is just baffling.

Looks like FAT BISCUIT upholstery is high on the Cal-Look list ...  Grin
There are some very clean examples pictured here that DAMN NEAR set me to the point to redo it all ... Although, I gotta say, redoing just the door panels would be very easy.

Zach, I gotta say, I really don't mind tweed ... is a durable fabric, resilient, and attractive ... my opinion.

The biscuit treatment definitely is a statement, but the color has to be spot on ... otherwise, it just looks old.

This is what I'm thinking ...

New square-weave carpet with rubber floor mats (probably grey on black, although I have not seen a sample of blue carpet yet and am open ...).
Door panels could simplify the project and lead to far less $$$.
If I go for the headliner, then it's ALL OUT ... if you're taking the windows out, WHAT"S THE PROBLEM >>> DO IT!
For now, still considering potions that don't go ALL THE WAY>

Thanks to everyone that's expressed their ideas! ... so far. Grin

Tom, dark blue carpet would look in your car. Looking forward to seeing what you end up with.
