This is a low mile original paint surviver, Well fenders where wallinut shell blasted and all dings metal finished and matched with semi gloss color and rubbed to match original paint. Was going to leave stock but just couldnt do it. So with lowered spindles and cutting beam 1/2 inch a side, here it is so far. Will have a dualcarb 40 hp motor when done.

a very unusual one year only colour  Cool

did your car come with the original wing beading and if so was it coloured or black with black running boards as the pictures ?

here a picture of my flint grey november '59

largely original but someone replaced the fenders for fiberglass items but I still have fenders and hope to refit them once they are repaired

Danny,
That thing is absolutely STUNNING!
Perfect execution as always ....

Love to see some 'before' pics ... let's see what you had to start with Cool
Great project & I like the idea you're wanting to keep the engine (somewhat) simple ... sometimes it's MORE fun driving one with less that 150-200 horses!

Hi ron, When I got the car the outside was cal-trans orange. I bought the car for all the sheetmetal, It was going to go on my cow-look car! But the more I looked at it the more I wanted to save it, So my helper george for about two weeks cleaned inside and out and scraped and blew the orange paint off and saved as much as we could. There are a few little spot jobs on body, and was not trying to make perfect, Just a nice clean driver. Now its one of my favorite cars I have built! To your question, There was no fender beading, But the was a pep-boyz sterring wheel and shag carpet! Want to say thanks to george and my old buddy randy for selling me the car!

You're welcome, when I bought the car I knew you of all people would appreciate it more than most. Once you got past that hideous paint that was on it. Glad you like it

Unbelieveable ... But you're still not gonna convince me just anyone would have 'seen the trees in the forest'.

You gotta find a before pic! Cheesy
