Hey Tom which hub did you use for the Indy wheel? The regular VW Momo hub looks too short for non-dished wheels like the Indy, did you have to add a spacer?

I ve got a Formuling in the Karmann Ghia , with an adapter ring to fit a new Momo hub . The original Formuling hubs are almost impossible to find

I'm tempted by this wheel for the '58.  However I'll need a boss.  Does anyone have the diameter of a Flat4 style boss for a GT or Speedwell wheel so I can decide which will work best?

Can anyone think of any other options?

Also, does anyone know of a boss which covers the end of the column like the standard wheel on the '58?

Thanks

We reduced the size of an original steering wheel. It is even better in the hand because the outer ring is a little thicker.

Here is my black leather Formula shallow Dish with a Flat4 speedwell boss and a standard bus horn button.
Bought it NOS with his box, quite interesting to see the whole Formula range.

Thanks Richard, it's a 15'' wheel, same size as Speedwell ones.
The Flat4boss fit perfectly the original speedwell/Formula, I just had to enlarge a bit the 3 fixing holes for the flat4 screws, which are really shitty screws!, if you can choose better quality ones do not hesitate.

Mark 1 Scirocco wheel on my 1977 standard Beetle. Direct bolt-on; no adapters or any other work needed. Wheelskins brand leather wheel wrap. Beetle horn button fits into the "bellows" Scirocco hub with friction fit. I previously had a 1973 SportsBug 3-spoke wheel on this car for 25 years. Both wheels have the same outer diameter, 14 7/8". Porsche 914 tachometer.

I never said it was a Riverside wheel.  It’s just a Porsche wheel adapted to a Volkswagen.

Can anyone provide a picture of the back side of the riverside 500 empi steering wheel I just found one and want to make sure .... it does measure 15.5 inches in diameter but it’s also dated 1972 with the VDM logo but no part# like they have on the 911/912 steering wheels I just found this one In a Ghia my friend bought and he asked if I had a stock one to trade didnt think anything about the wheel until I had asked about the horn pad and he said it was in the trash cuz it was all wrinkled up so I went to get it and it was embossed with the empi logo it’s very hard to make it out but it’s the empi logo for sure not Porsche

I thought I got a real riverside 500 on a trade trade a week or so ago but it turned out to be a 911 steering wheel but that changed the other day when an old friend asked what this steering wheel is and I said it is mine LoL so again another trade happened and I finally got a true EMPI RIVERSIDE 500 steering wheel. Last one slipped thru my hands at Pomona about 9 years ago when my friend tim from Belgium picked it up before I could and got that One for $15 and I believe that it belongs to you now Fabs.
