This is my B/MC 1968 Bug. It's the real deal that started racing the early Bug Ins then ran NHRA B/MC from 75-81. The car came with with DDS shifter and rear wheels. The engine is an 1835 with 42x37 heads(we think they are DDS also), 48IDAs and FK89. I was told the best time was 11.9. We have not changed a thing about it, just some fresh paint & some cleaning. We are hoping to have it done for the end of May.
LARRY WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T PUT 3 SETS OF LOUVERS IN THE 67 DECKLID!!!

looking at Jims avatar I think he has a new design for a decklid.

We fired up the engine last night and took it for a few passes. It runs great, just a few more things and the off to Drag Day this weekend.

I think I'll be fine with those fans if I keep it over 80 mph. The stand offs on the deck lid should suck in enough air I'll bet I could even turn them off for a while.

Thanks guys. A lot of people really liked the car at Drag Dag. We had clutch problems and never got a full pass in. Oh well, there is always next year.
