I'm not so old, but my first car was my first vw. Its a 1965 which I got from about four years ago. I have done allot to this car, and all the money I have spent is in this car. At the first picture it is all stock plus centerlines, and minimal has been done. Second picture is how its going to look this summer. Past the years it has been done many things. The interior has been fully restored and home made one time, and this winter I have made a new one, because I wanted to change. I have had four different combinations of wheels on it, but this year I'm going to use the same as last year. I have also restored the org 1200ccm engine, but I have now completely rebuild a new 1835 engine for it, which I'm going to fit this weekend. Can't wait Smiley I have also done small things like restoring the electrical, fuel system, brakesystem, suspension, gearbox/transmission mounts ++++ trough the years.  Cool Vw 4ever haha Grin

Nice pictures Scott!....looks like us old guys were doing the same things to our cars back then. The Brute headers had a great sound. Glass pack with a megaphone! Loud.

1976 with a broken arm from Skatopia's half pipe.

I just did the math and that car was only 9 years old at the time ($800)

Well, this is mine, I still own it today and have it since 1994 and it was restored in 1997.  Swapped engines a couple of times, changed the dashboard, but for the rest the car stayed the same since the nineties.
