How can we have a forum without a thread about Norway's national dish?
How do you stuff yours?  Grin

As expected not to many takers...  I just learned that we in Norway eat 180 kroners (22 euro) worth of taco shells each every year.
That's the same amount as Switzerland, Ireland, Netherland, Belgium, France, Spain, Austria, Germany and Great Britain combined.  Grin

They're probably more expensive in Norway than Switzerland, Ireland, Netherland, Belgium, France, Spain, Austria, Germany and Great Britain combined  Grin

Any group of people that embraces tacos and/or Mexican food HAS to be good. I mostly live on Mexican food... GREAT STUFF.

JHU, I have a different twist on it. I'm vegetarian, and substitute the ground beef for diced, fried potatoes. It's REAL good. I learned this from a real good Mexican restaurant in Santa Ana. Even if I weren't vegetarian, I'd still eat them with the fried potatoes!

Sorry Fabs   Cheesy   You could make your own taco's.....grill/steam some flat bread (Naan, lavash, pita etc) fill with grilled seasoned/sliced meat and shredded cabbage. Top with fresh diced tomato, onion, fresh coriander (if you can't get cilantro) minced jalapeno (or equivalent). A healthy squeeze of lime juice to taste and thats it.  Except maybe a shot of decent Tequila and a pale beer chaser  Grin

After I learned that carbohydrates are NO NO, I have trouble finding some substitutes for the taco shells, so somehow the fun of it is gone...  Undecided
The closest I get now days are taco pizza.

I have some good friends in Reading, UK, and each time I flew to England for the annual Auto Jumble at Beaulieu, they would ask me to bring "taco" fixings in my bag. So, I brought bags of (real) chips, taco seasoning packs, cans of refried beans and Mexican rice, taco shells and tortillas and bottles of salsa. I showed them how to glue all this together, and all they had to do is get minced meat (hamburger), and the rest of the fresh fillings, and we had a feast. They loved it!

Ok -- The name of the place is Rosies, on Yucaipa Blvd. near the high School -- They also make a KILLER chili Relleno Burrito -- and pretty good tacos too

Oh and that cat .. .. .. My son and I were looking at some of his home work the other night, setting on some Bar stools and that F-ing cat jumped straight up onto my back and dug it's claws in -- after screaming like a little girl -- I got my best swing in on it and it went about 15' and hit the wall ("But darling, I was just trying to get it to let go!!!") -- damn thing jumped up, ran up the stairs and hid under the freaking bed where I couldn't get at it without using a pole -- So I went to get a very special pole I have for removing cats from under furniture -- the wife stopped me as I was loading some ammo into it .. .. .. .. The cat stayed under the bed for a few days, ( I think the wife was feeding it behind my back) but I left a pair of work boots nearby just in case it did stick it's little head out.
