New Drag Tires, but what brand ?
«

I need a new set of drag tires on my race car, using the "normal 26/8,5-15" From M/T now, but I destroyed them on the dyno...
The traction is good on them but they need a lot of counter weight to get them straight, compaired to Goodyear. And I allways hated that... But the goodyear we have have no traction.
Is there any alternatives you guys know about ? Or should I just buy another set of M/T
Thanks

A very well known racer told me that there is a reason why most of the fast cars run MT or Goodyear.

Well we ran M&H's on ours and were really happy with them but the sidewalls are really bulbous (sort of ballon out) so you gain 'unwanted' width. The M/T's however have a much better sidewall and stick out less. We are going to M/T's this time. I do know though that the V8 cars we crewed on for years ran M/T's

That's not a good enough reason for me to buy/select stuff: just copy the 'fast' guys huh?
If you copy others, you are sure not ever to go faster then them now are you?

True. But then again I`m using MH myselves but what do I know. On the other hand, not taking a note of what other fast (faster) cars use would be quite stupid don't you think? Almost like entering F1 and don't want to use Pirellis...

M/T and Hoosier work on every track . The goodyears we had last year had no traktion , we had D9 and i think D3 is what a beetle needs .
I recommend hoosier , for those who need 6.0 MH ..

if hoosier did 6 inch slicks id use them purely for the writing on the sidewall
