Charlie's/Charles VW Shop in Santa Barbara?

Anyone ever hear of a shop with this or a similar name, in the Santa Barbara area in the 70's or 80's?  Any help would be appreciated.

The vintage guys on the samba might know. There's still some old VW guys in the Santa Barbara area  .

Thanks Phil.  Just had a chat with Chip this week.  Looks like he's going to keep the roadster stock and rod the roadster P/U.  Wish he still had the ghia...........
