On the cover way cool Marc nice coverage. I do have an extra car that would love to have a pair DRA sticker on. Are you guys thinking on having T shirts made as well.
Thanks

Hi Frenchy,
I had small amount camp shirts made for the Bug In. In the photo attached photo both Marc and myself are wearing them. If I decide to make more, or design a t-shirt, I'll let you know. I have had a couple of idea already in mind.

Thanks, and I would be happy to sign one for you. You are one of the people who convinced me to revive the car and I thank you for that.
Hmmmm, let me guess......you own Keith's car? Should have known. <grin>
I've got a couple of time slips for the Under Dog from the Winternationals (1971 or 1972 I think) for you,

Richard , I really like that picture, its really worth a thousand words, its true Marc didnt recognize me until he saw my nametag , but I did know him right away, you see, Marc left quite an impression on me way back when I was the "kid" that worked at Fleming & Aronson. Split windows ,to me have always been the best VWs, Marc had one with BRMs & a big Weber motor , to me the "kid" , well , it doesnt get much better than that. Seeing him and his car still together after all these years is awsome , Marc , nobody is more worthy of a Hot VWs cover story then you my friend . Also Marc , thanks for all the negative comments about my ugly piece of crap car back then , you helped fuel my fire to build a good car . Keith
Keith, Keith, Keith...........
The first time I met you, I knew you were destined to create the "World's Most Beautiful VW".I was driving to the shop when a bright light caused me to pull over to the side of the road. It was then that a voice in my head told me that it was my mission to spur you on to VW greatness. I devised a plan where I would taunt you with my car while continually reminding you that your car was just junk. Yes it was me and my brilliant plan that led you to build a good car,.. nay..... not just a good car, but the best car!...............
........ahh,now that I've taken my medicine, I realize I had never heard of the "World's Most Beautiful VW" back then and I think that light was the Anaheim police......and that voice was the officer telling me my car was too low.........and come to think about it, I've never had a brilliant plan in my life and I only teased you about your car because you were such a good natured guy who was very likable and a good sport.....and I had absolutely nothing to do with the incredible Keith Goss chopped top street machine.....it was Keith Goss.
But thank you, anyway, I appreciate the kind words (even if you are full of shit). <grin>

Frenchy, I might be putting together another order for the camp shirts. We had a few colors produced last time, but I think the black or the red looked the best. I don't know the exact at the moment, but assume around $30.00. - $35.00 each. If you are interested, let me know. T-shirts are coming, but later this year.

Dean. No fan club T shirts.....yet. ;-) We'll discuss it at our next DRA council meeting. (It's similar to the Jedi council, just without the magic and not as many aliens)

Sarge and his dog visit the massive DRA pavilion. I believe he was about to defect from DKP and ask if he could join DRA, but his dog distracted him with it's gyrations and he was forced to leave to clean up..............

......or maybe we were having a nice visit when this dog just came from no where and jumped up in his lap. The owners were surprised as the dog normally doesn't act this way....animal magnetism?
You pick which caption you believe.
Either way, DRA is considering the dog for membership...<grin>

I found this picture of another past DRA car the Speedwell site. The car belonged to Mark Antista. Mark is pictured second from the left in the DRA group photo taken at this years Bug In. (shown on his thread).
Cool car. I have more pics of it buried somewhere that I'll try to post.
