So I have this friend with a lowered Chevy x-tra cab truck. He takes it in to get the shaved treatment. No bumpers front and rear. Paint. Lowered even more. He gets it back and it looks good. I ask him, so where did you put your bumpers. He tells me "THEY KEPT THEM I GUESS" 3 days later he backs into a parked car. A nice big dent in the corner of the bed. IF the bumper would have been there, no dent in the body! He got hosed big time! Wink

If i just would have stayed with it. Sold it off last year and regret it so much now. But got hold on a one owner 66 sunroof in a really sick originall state instead. So, something tells me i did something right. It´s not a car for this forum but one pic is not going to hurt. Not here though. Cheesy

After playing tag with a large raccoon one morning, I found out that my cheap single blade bumper caused more damage to the apron and hood than having nothing at all on the front end. Aluminum unpolished T-bars look better anyway.

Dig how you matched the angle of the T with the angle of the body panel ... Looks GREAT!

I can't wait for someone to start thinking outside the box and use something other than aluminum for their T-bars.

I don't get it.  If you wanted them to be heavier, just make them from steel.

Ti is 67% heavier than Al.

Better would be to make them from Mg.  35% lighter than Al.

..and who's considering weight as a decision factor? Hmmm?

The whole point of T-bars is to reduce weight (of the stock bumpers).

How much did you spend on your heavyweight Ti T-bars?
