All of the BUGPACK Flanged Cranks are now all Type-IV Mains and all Flywheels still remain 6 bolts with 6 dowels.

The bearing kits we sell (#4000-70) is for the JayCee style center thrust set-up. Vee Dub Parts Unlimited has the Bearing Sets for the cases that have been bored for Type-IV OD.

Don't think it will be possible to modify your 8 dowel flywheel to fit flanged crank. There are 2 types of bolt pattern to consider the older 6 bolt + dowel bug pack version and the 8 bolt + dowel SCAT although I think Bugpack are using the 8 bolt pattern now and most are all T4 bearing mains. Below pics are of a floater clutch for a 6 dowel bug pack crank (t4 centre main only) /cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/[/img] Which kind / manufacturer of clutch is that ? Maybe need one next year for the new engine. Greets , Carsten

Yes it's an early J&G floater clutch assembly. I spoke to Roger Crawford about this one and apparently the only difference between this and a newer one is that the new ones have red anodised covers. You can get two diaphragms to suit your style of driving - a heavy and a lighter and you can also adjust the pressure by adding/taking off washers from under the small black spacer tubes that you can see in the second pic This one was a spare that came from a UK race car called Bugster . I havnt used it yet so can't really say how good it may be. Regds
