Hi all!
I'm running pauter 1.4 rockers with my 86c (043 heads) and stock valve covers. The rockers are hitting the valve covers and thus creating a leak (heavily).
I want to run other valve covers because of this and looked at the ones of CSP which seem very nice. As the Pauter rockers came with special bolts and studs I was wondering if the CSP valve covers hardware fits this. I expect the CSP hardware to be metric and the Pauter hardware to be imperial.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Jesse

Scat has a set that are made for high lift rockers and they fit just like stock valve covers, the part # is 80240T. These are what I will be trying on my new motor.

Paulus has the pauter rockers and orange csp covers. Works fine.
Can't you put some dents in them as temp. solution? as where they're hitting em.

Berg also have stock vented valve covers for ratio-rockers.

I think he's gonna borrow/swap some SCAT valve covers, looks like the ones DKK Robert referred to: hopefully all goes well!

I use them, they fit well and are leak free.

Is it the rockers or the mounting nuts that are hitting the valve-covers? I had the mounting nuts hit the valve cover and prevent it from sealing (these were Scat cast aluminum valve covers). I removed about 1/4" from the length of each nut to clear.

My CB Perf C-channel valve covers are going in the shit can. They would probably work fine on a stocker, otherwise caveat emptor. I going back to the stock covers with double gaskets, at least those didn't leak.

this topic is about the clearance of valve covers, though sealing is an important issue too

I used Flat 4 valve covers on my engine with pauter rockers, same as the csp valve covers. Yes the pauter rockers come with 3/8 unf studs and nuts, I drilled my valve covers to take a 3/8 cap screw, I then spot faced the bolt hole for the oring, It works nice.

Oh, I forget to mention they're on Comp. E's with Berg rockers and K800's. The retainers are interfering with the gskts, so much for clearance.

Jesse installed a pair of borrowed SCAT covers yesterday. All went well and they fit fine. Now he's gotta source his own SCAT valve covers before EBI

this topic is about the clearance of valve covers, though sealing is an important issue too I believe he meant that stacking two valve cover gaskets creates more clearance.

I'm running a 86c but with 1.5 pauters -- I had clearence problems with the rockers hitting the pedestal -- you probably will not have that problem with the 1.4's but keep an eye out for it
I'd post a link to the thread I did on UAC but it got real ugly fast LOL
