Jupp, that video is old and the engine has been in Norway the last 2 years. No doubt a powerful 2276ccm.

I do believe you're right. The video is posted on youtube 10.01.2010. My bad. Anyway a impressive result no matter what.

In other words, this is the engine they blew earlier this season.

That motor is the pauter block 78 x 101 motor with the angle flows on it (and my old rockers) the old old motor is in Tekens car now.

Since there explotion on the start line they have had to up the stroke as they couldnt get another 78 in time.
This motor is running the CB 910 copys (very nice heads) there not happy about the bigger stroke due to them having to add 250lb to the car to keep it legal. As pro mod is a CI/Weight class.

I think you can asume that a car weighing in more than mine and still doing 180mph in the 1/4 they are making power Wink

there's a build thread on UAC just look for the 7 second thread.

I think it's great that people share their info and experiences with others. That's what these forums are all about. There's a lot to be learned simply by bouncing ideas off other people and sharing experiences is what the VW scene is all about. Good on them and a big thumbs up from me! Cool

Damn Russell -- I just found it and thought I'd post it -- I knew it was old because the Baron team has their own personal dyno in their shop now -- so .. ..  It is one of the highest HP videos I've ever seen for a VW, I heard that Frank the Bank did 901 HP about 3 months after this video was done -- but his car is now parked and .. .. .. Laufers have never been to forth coming on their HP numbers or any car that has been built or tuned at their place .. ... Richie has never made any HP claims .. .. .. Jon Scheers car is in the Mid 700's but it was tuned at Laufers so no video is available .. .. So get on all those people to post some video's of their Dyno sessions.

sharing is ok but like all things there is a time and place, bullying someone to share is not the same.

Not having a go just asking for the up to date info to be SHARED if they want; and any engine making that much HP and running a 7 sec run is worth seeing.

More importantly why bring Richie or the Laufers into this..... "now im having a go" just seems like you want to stir up more crap...... not a great idea., it takes more than power to have a fast time, it needs a car, a driver, some luck and dare i say it "streching the rule book" back in the day the pioneers of our passion were always going that extra step to push the boundires, it happens every year, if not every race in F1

Our job is to tune the cars, not to brag or post it on the internet. Their has been many P/M, P/S, S/S, S/C along with high HP sand drag and personal pleasure cars on our dyno. Most of the customers have videos of their cars making pulls. We respect what the customer wants to do with their information and its up to their discretion to post it or give it out.

Any of the videos we have uploaded are on youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/user/DEVILSHOTROD
As for posting dyno videos up of our car. I honestly dont think we have anything that great. Some how our customers are all ways more important then our stuff. Grin  Most of our dyno time happens late at night after the shop is closed. So setting up the camera is the last thing to do on "the to do list".

I need to go check. I know we have a bunch of video pass's from some recent test sessions.

Well i know that VW Gasser Garage cant say enought postive comments about the team at VW Paradise for the help, instruction, product, backup, service and late nights and as Jason pointed out their valued customers do come first.

I would love to see a seven.
