D.B.O. Not a club; a state of mind.

Yesterday was a blast, hanging out with DEEKS at Worm's b-day party. It was quite worth the traffic and a few of us got there shortly after it began.

The food, catered by Beachfire, was good... as to be expected.

Wait... back to the cars for a moment. Okay.

No shortage of liquid of any sort, here.

The Hula Girls is an awesome compilation of Hawaiian, Surf, and Rockabilly genres of music of which will rock your socks off. Providing that you're wearing those sorts of things.

Early on, a few people got out and danced. Later, that entire backyard was packed with more of the same.

Birthday boy, on the left, really knows how to provide a good time. Mission accomplished!

Later, a few more DEEKS arrived.

Worm had a surprise for everyone... but mostly for his girlfriend, Holly.

This image properly illustrates that quite nicely.

Next, the deed.

After having said, "YES.", the happy couple faced the crowd... and it was good.

The Hula Girls ended up playing a three hour set! THEN, packed it up and headed for The Coach House to open for Dick Dale. If you get a chance to see them play, DO IT. If you're too far away... go online and watch 'em on YouTube or even better; buy their music.

As the evening drew to a close, we all made an agreed decision that another DEEK party went down in the memory banks as a complete success. There were many laughs, great times, and even three impressive burn outs in front of the house. Which, of course, stoked the birthday boy immensely.

Worm & Holly, thank you for opening your lovely home up for all of us to invade. Your dreams that we talked about back in April have come true, my friend. And for that, I'm stoked for you both. One of the best parties I've attended in a long while. Live long and prosper, my fellow DEEK.

Thanks everyone!  Your kudos are much appreciated.  It was cool getting 90 or so people over to the house and seeing everyone have so damn much fun (me included).  We were drinking and dancing till 2:30 a.m.  Whew!  I was tired on sunday.  Great people, great food, GREAT band, and to top it off some 2332 IDA motors lighting up my pavement.  Made my day!!!!

I tried to load a link someone shot of the band but heres a taste from elsewhere:

Jim, you can see the mark that your car left in the picture that I shot from the hill... to the right of your car in the shot. I'm sure that will be on the street for awhile.

 Grin

(edit) Here ya go, Jim.
