Hi guys....I have not written much on the forum recently but I'm always in the cal-look scene.

Anyway...
with immense pride I present to you the first Italian Cal-look club.......Die Kriegs Maschine!
We are only at begin and I hope that you follow us Wink

This is our blog http://die-kriegs-maschine.blogspot.com/

Like you will see we have decided to extend the cal-look scene, englobing all-terrain vehicles, provided that they respect the styles of that time.

Hope you like it....

Cheers

1st DKM's reunion ... the day after

For sure something has changed ... The evil may said that changes are only in a different T-shirt ...
Last sunday, in a sunny day, in Viareggio the 1st italian cal-look page has been written. and nothing will be like before in our country.

This first meeting starts with the official and exclusive distribution of stickers, that you can see on our windshield, and t-shirt, goes on with a cruisin on seaside, a good lunch time as italian style reccomends and ended with a session where pics were taken.

Unfortunately, like all good experiences, the day finished quickly and everyone of us is thinking to the next event.

A special thanks goes to all friends, who drove for tons of miles, to our beautiful girls armed with patience and Kustom World magazine for ...... well .... run to your newsstand and you'll undestand the why  Wink

It says "open only for cal looks" but on the picture of the cars I do spot one baja and one resto/original. Already taking it easy on the rules?  Smiley

Thanks for your appreciation  Wink

As Bandito told the reunion took place in Viareggio [Tuscany] http://g.co/maps/kdpze and DKM member are scattered around Italy.
Milan, Rome, Florence, Tuscany and Liguria are the places where we have more members.

It says "open only for cal looks" but on the picture of the cars I do spot one baja and one resto/original. Already taking it easy on the rules?  Smiley

DKM is a group who wants to group all VWAC modified in Cali during 60's/70's.
This means precal and callook. We think also buggys, bajas and Typ2 and so on can be included because also they have characterized VW scene in Cali during these period.
Of course everyone can discuss about our choise ... for sure you can't find in our cars a resto or an original VWAC.

We are located in Italy, so we aren't lucky as US guys where callook starts or some other EU guys where this scene is a reality since many years ... here we are in the beginning, in fact we are the 1st italian callook club/group.

We choose cars and guy looking to good cars that can improve [even if we can show some cal cars who won awards in EBI meeting] and guys who wants and love calllok style.
For sure we will work hard to produce the best car we can, studing on books, magazine and precious forum as TheLounge is.

I invite you to take a look to our blog [http://die-kriegs-maschine.blogspot.com] where you can find all other members who miss the 1st reunion due work in progress on their Beetle.

Club also includes a Buggy a Karmann Ghia and alot of other cars unfortunately not present that day,
We are from sever cityes of the country.
each car are characterized by a deep Cal-look influence daily drives or dragracers or even both but
spirits members are deeper in Cal-look style and way of thinking, of course we are living in Italy known for spaghetti, pizza and mafiamandolino mainly but
some good quality cars and state of mind are getting out down here.
So take a look at ours blog and take in mind.....
