I hope Vince doesn't mind me posting some of his pics.

First of his car.

Vince, that's one very kool car, what ever happen to it?

No problem at all Rick.  Cool

In fact, here is a pic of the interior of the '64.

Wow...straight out of the Johnny's Speed and Chrome catalog!  Roll Eyes

Hey Ted. Unfortunately, other interests and hobbies came into play and the car basically ended up stored unprotected in my carport for a few years and just wasting away. The 2-liter alloys were traded a couple years before and motor was gone by the time I sold it to a neighbor kid for about a grand or so (I think I was getting ready to move at the time). I remember standing in the driveway, watching the kid and his buddy pushing it down the street to his parent's house and I never saw it again.  Cry

Jimmy's car was pretty nice.

He borrowed my Cookie Cutters for the photo shoot.

One of my favorite photos of my car, several weeks before I got my interior. Taken at Craig Park during a DKK Volley Ball game.  Sorry about the quality, after all, it was 1980!

Ted, thanks for posting up the pics. Also... you gotta share your photography secret with me. Getting yourself in the frame and looking so confident during it all is pure genius.

 Grin

Also, I forgot to mention some engine stuff to you, today. We shall converse regarding said subject soon.

During the time Tod Fuller owned his '67 Karmann-Ghia, he put together a very clean '65 sunroof sedan.  Tod had the rear quarter pop-out window glass etched to read "Blue Hawaii".  The wheels were refurbished original BRM's. The color was Polar Blue and it was the color that inspired me to paint my '69 a very light shade of pastel yellow.  Currently, this is one of the only photos I'm aware are on the lounge.  Tod has more photos and they will be posted soon.

Featured with Tod's '65 is Jeff Rugerri's Karmann-Ghia Convertible.  Jeff was a club member after I left.  He worked a miracle on this car as it was really rough.  Originally he had it painted orange with rainbow stripes across the back.  According to Tod, Jeff's car was featured in a Hot VW's tech artical about convertible top installation.  Jeff offered to paint his car yellow and scored a free top for allowing his car to be featured in the artical!

Dan, I've posted a pic or two of Tod's '65 sunroof Bug on The Lounge. I'm too stuffed and relaxed (lobster burrito, Fat Tire Ale, & half a box of Oreos) to find it. But GREAT car! Stoked that his BRMs still live on in D.K.P.

Tod has a CD ROM with some photos of his cars.  Here are a few of the better quality shots, including his '65 Sunroof, Karmann-Ghia, '67 Sedan(Yes, he owned a '67) and a couple of Jeff Ruggeri's(Note the rainbow paint and the cute girls).  Grin

THIS.

A magnificent representation of an era. The girl, the car, the expression, & the carefree vibe.

I thought those very same things when I transferred these wonderful analog memories onto digital media for Tod. Thank God for pictures, for nothing else better captures those long since gone memories of what used to be. Well... other than actually being lucky enough to have been there.
