Hello guys. Your Forum is aw-some...
I´ll make a topic here to get some help with my project.
For a start I have to say that its low budget project and here in estonia we have no class for weeduubs (beetle is just too light for our rules) ....so I'm building it just for fun and my target is just get it quicker every year.

when I bought my car ~3 years ago it had no interior or engine.


Then I started building a stock engine. All I did was just adding a turbo. It took some time and body was waiting under dust...

Then I got it together and riding.....

I pushed the boost up until it made 13,9 with 150km/h  after some tuning the MS1 ver 2.2 it made 162km/h top speed but the time was worse because I broke my first gear and started with second.
Then came winter and I cutted it a-bit:

Then I welded the floor and painted it.


Then I got some old racing tires but they were so hard that 60 feet was still awful (2,2)

Then I broke few gearboxes and when I pushed the boost to 2 bar then I broke the diff and I haven't got better time than 13,9 but when it made 13,9 with 150km/h then now it makes 165-170 top speed. but it Brok's down oftenly under that boost (usually barrels and stock pistons)
Then I re painted the car and when it was painted I got 15x 10" rims and I started to make it wider again

I have an idea for a next year.
I have 2,0L Type4 and few parts for that and I could get IRS trans from bug or 002 gearbox from bus.
002 should be stronger than bug gearboxes?
What arms could I use ?( don´t want to make it more wider)
091 should be the strongest stock gearbox?
I can´t find it now but is it a-lot stronger than 002 or a-bit stronger?  and how different they are with 002? I mean that when I´ll install 002 then how big job it is to change it to 091 later?

All what is stopping me is that I haven´t made any normal time with my 1600...best is still 13,9 but I really know that it makes 12s with 30PSI.
