Finally, after a hiatus to get my chop top running, I pulled out the Bay Window bus and positioned the rear of the extended cab.  Ready to start welding things together. I took a couple shots to show what it looks like from both sides.  Just some preliminary fit work and I will start welding things up. Yeah, hoping it will end up a real head turner with all the mods. Not one corner of this project will remain stock. Tail section is being modified, dash, everything.  Will take a lot of fab work but will be rewarding once completed. Stay tuned!

You will need to cut the front off at the B pillar to get a convincing result of a split conversion. I know this because a friend tried the exact same thing.
This is the best attempt in stretching the design I have seen

Good luck with the build! Smiley

Do you have any more shots of your friends bus from another angle.  I have extensive mods planned for the front, including front roofline (all in metal) to get a genuine look.

So rick, Who do ya get your weed from? Kidding!!! Just a idea, Cutting nose skin in the middle and takeing pie section out of center. To narrow top to get belt line to start blending to bay window belt line. If ya run out of steam, There early split window bus's for sale! On the samba!! LOL !!

Funny stuff Danny!  I was thinking along the same lines about widening the centerpoint...I will play with a few ideas. I a building a custom dash with all autometer guages and so most of the front will be a one off custom fab anyway.

Try raiseing the who panel up a little and see if the lines will blend smoother

The bay window will be gone and a split installed...so the lines will all be right when I am done with all the sub structure pieces to hold things in alignment.
