A few years ago that car was for sale here in AZ (for a LOT less!) and I wasn't impressed with it then. I don't think Roger did anything but change the rear tires, and now is selling it like it's his special, personal build?

Regardless. Someone will buy it.  It just takes time to sell a car like that and fetch that price.

I thought that WAS his personal, special-built car???
Isn't that the car the pan build was detailed in HotVs?

Regardless, a perfect black paint-job on a '67, Crawford power (though too bad he didn't rpl the K8 with a K10), Berg5, custom interior (though I think its Tweed ... Sorry Zach!), perfect pan with cage (JCL?) ... there's no way you could build one as nice for less.
Only way it could be better is if it were a Sunroof!

Nope, I remember seeing it once or twice at shows here in AZ (come to think of it, it also had IDF's or Dell's), it was for sale for a MUCH more modest price than it is now (I'm thinking half!) and it was still on the market for a while before RC pulled the trigger and bought it.

It's a nice car, just missing a certain "something", in my opinion.

According to the Feb. 2010 HotVWs article it was built by Pro Mod driver Karl Koppenhaver and the motor was done by EMS with FK-87 and 11:1 compression. Roger detuned the motor with the FK-8 and it still made 202hp.
