Interior Changes to my Chop....

I took out all the old interior, installed newer foot pedals, SS door sills, SCAT ProCar seats, ZACH (Cal Look Lounger) biscut door panels and redid a little wiring. I lowered the seats by 4" over the ones that were previously in the car so I can see comfortably out the front window, even with a WINK mirror mounted to where the old sun visor mounting area is.

Tom,
Everything I've seen ZACH do has been top quality. I will not hesitate to give him KUDOS as he loves the old school we've all grown up with and really has captured the look...even if I'm old enough to be his dad. :-)

I like the black TONS better than the white stuff that was in there. Looks great.

I could not stand to keep that 50's look interior in the car. To really dial it in I had to get it back to the early cal look treatment. The new changes really go better with the car now that I have all the black detailing on the wheels, bumpers, trim, etc.

Hi Rick – are you changing the white-faced gauges, Scat door handles and ProCar seats, too? Or are they staying?

Very Funny Keith. The car is pretty much where it will stay. I like the white face gauges. I just put the seats in the car. They were one of the new additions. Hey, like the new 912 project. I had a lot of fun with the last Porsche I had a couple years back. It was a rocket. Had a 3.6 twin plug motor in it. Scary fast. I will post a shot of it with this thread.

ZACH,
Would like to to a storage/package tray like AssHulls bug. I really liked how you finished that one off. You'll have to give me a call so we can hook up and discuss.

ZACH,
What side of town did you end up on when you moved down from Prescott? Do you still have my cell number?

Rick, great to see you last night, the car looks great. It has been a while since I watched the muscle car crowd react to truely customized bug. Your car stands out now but, once you get motivated to paint the back then you can really start to enjoy it.

Bill,
It was great seeing you after way too many years. Hey, put the first Friday in December on your Friday night car hangout gathering at 51st and Bell. Don Bulitta stated he'd show too. Maybe we can get a bunch more out as well. We'll see if Howard Washington will bring out his sleeper late model bug too, along with some other WR members. Have a good Thanksgiving weekend.
