As some of you know i bought the Skaggs pro stock car, This car was no. 1 in prostock during the last years . I knew this car since the 90's when andy costello raced it and was  a great fan of it. I am happy that it arived save , i got it without engine and gearbox so it is up to me to make it fast :-) . My green car is got stored in the garage waiting for racing someday, i do not know when ...

Well done, Udo! A lot of history with that car. Do you know, the engine that Frank von Berkhom used in No Mercy after he bought it from me was originally from that car? I found it for sale in the USA and put Frank in touch... Small world!

Knowing the pedigree of your green car, I bet it turns out that this one used to be Inch Pincher Too Wink

Congratulations Udo!

It must be the egine that Reynolds and Lanning raced ?  Andy put his super street engine in it as far as i know.  I like the old mild steel chassis from Ron. this is what i was looking for. Very strong and save driving.

The paint needs some polishing but i like it and it should be like it is. I have got a VW trends magazine from 1994 with the car , there is some more to read about the history . funny that a car that was built in 1990 is still a record holding car  Smiley

It's my understanding that Todd Reynolds is still racing, as I saw him driving a red Bug of some sort (Super Comp? Super Gas? can't recall) on a recent Ocean Street Video DVD from I think the Southern Cal Bugorama a couple years back.  Mike Lanning, as I recall reading elsewhere on the web a few years ago, was sent to prison for killing his wife; there was a mention of it in the following thread: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=249334&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Please ignore the absurd claims that the car in that thread is somehow tied to the original Inch Pincher; totally different topic for a totally different thread. Grin
