can someone fill me in up to what timeslip this cage is legal. i think different times require different cages or different setups anyway. a link to a rulebook is also appreciated.

By the look of it that cage is not legal for anything.

The NHRA rules say something like this:

Original chassi cars can go as fast as 10.00 with only a roll bar 45x3mm every tube with 15x15x3mm plates if bolted. Some might not agree and say that you can not go faster than 11.49 without a roll bar but if look further in the rules you will find the 10.00 - original chassi rule. (but who wants to go 10.00 with only a roll bar?) Faster than 10.00 down to 8.50 you minimun need a 6 poing cage with main tubes 41x3mm with 15x15x3mm plates. They say that in 2013 the tubes need to be 45x3mm but this is not confirmed in any rule book, yet.

Mind you that all the dimensions above are for soft steel and not chromolly.
