Well as always..... As the title says guys  Smiley

I am looking for pictures of Ian Clarke's Super Cool 51/52 Crotch Cooler Cal Looker - I have ALWAYS loved this car and I love the fact its a REAL "street car" and gets driven to nearly all events/races (even ebi1!)

Interior shots would be great!

I remember it was featured in VoWo magazine a few years ago so maybe Fabs could find that one for us (please!)  Wink Smiley

I look forward to seeing what you have  Smiley

(I did hear something about it being "restored" back to stock! Anyone hear or know of this?)

Hmmm not sure, I remember it from the "late 90's" so it may well have been in the UK since 96  Undecided Smiley

I've got a whole bunch of action shots from late 90s onwards with and without the Herrod Helper. Is it just static shots you're after?

Cool "action shots" would be great but I am also looking for some static (detailed) shots,

Any other info on the car would be AWESOME, I am sure its had its share of "changes" over the years and I know it started with a 1776cc IDA'd screamer - I am interested to know what Ian did with the chassis/running gear, Seeing as 51/52 cars have the "short shocks" etc etc  Smiley

I only ask because......... http://cal-look.no/lounge/index.php/topic,17725.0.html  Wink Smiley

This car is going back to stock by present owner, was some progress pics kicking around on another site, I always loved watching it race. Proper hard core wheelies with a small motor Grin

I believe it came into the UK on the same shipment as my '51 - I think there as a picture in a Volksworld from the mid-90's of a pair of really grubby splits, one with a roof light which I reckon are them.
It was raced on the original pan - Ian once told me that the frame horns are stronger than later pans. It's now been sold to Steve, the lad who's building the Okrasa Special.

Steve Wright owns it, cage removed and stock motor and box, if you look at Steves In Da Werks thread on 'Okrasa Special' you can see it in the background Grin

Just  found some pictures of the 52 interior when I was stripping all the underseal off (major weight saving but boring work) so it's full of stuff but you can just about make out were the rollcage went and see the original (and best) Beard seats.....sooo comfy and ultra-light.....perfect for those of us that have driven cal-lookers all our lives and have a deformed back bone to prove it!! The Cage was Chrome Moly by Jim Smith and I made him promise not to cut anything unnecessary and put the rear bars through the "hatch"etc....oh and not to set fire to the headliner!! I'm not sure who was more nervous me or him when he picked it up.....top job tho'.......the cage now resides in my Fiat 600....unbelievably it fitted without narrowing...just!
The car is now retired from the abuse I put it through and back to stock...although it'll be getting an SPG/Okrasa motor in the future when there's time....I still get to drive it once in a while as it resides in the enviable stable of Mr S Wright......safe hands from restoration ;-)
Last time out it had an 1850cc.....76 Revmaster with 88 Empi's and 5.2"Pauter AA rods with Ti Valves and a Mag = Screamer!! on a Berg 5-speed....ran low 12's allday and you could drive home at 90+mph......but stopping it was a different matter...drums all round!!! I miss that car but onwards and upwards.....
