I wanted to Thank all Garys friends that have helped me and kept in touch. Its been a Tuff Year but
our family has made it so far. TY especially Tx Tom for keeping us going with the VW and being there to
answer stupid questions when I have them like "what is this part".  lol

We have been enjoying the 67 Red VW Bug and Cadan our grandson still is excited to be the
owner of his Peepaws bug when he is old enough to drive.  Cadan asks to go for a Donut run or
a drive in the Bug on a regular basis. Right now its at Black Gold getting new seats and a new headliner so we
can go to some small shows in our area.

Cant believe a Year has passed.....still missing my Guy!! Will love him Forever and always and try to keep
his memory and dreams alive Smiley   Sure there are many of you that miss his post.....emails and phone calls and his
advice too.

WOW, time has really gone by fast.
Really miss all his e-mails ... the funny ones and the ones I couldn't believe he'd send out to EVERYONE (XXX)! Made me LOL simply out of embarrassment! Grin
Love to know what he'd be saying today ... but he's in our hearts, so I guess we already know.
Miss him too, Becca!
Will be sure to keep Shoob in my thoughts throughout the day ...

Becky, We are all thinking of YOU and of who we lost a year ago today. I know that there's not many a day that something comes to mind that makes me think of Gary.
He and I forever llinked by 35 years of friendship, our love of the VW, and more, it's hard to believe that a year without him has passed us by.
 My thoughts are with you.

I miss Gary a lot too Becca. I think about him most every day. I am going to take my '67 out this afternoon for a cruise in Gary,s memory I think. Hope to see you and the '67 at some of the DFW get togethers this year. The DLK get together in Cedar Hill is March 24 from 5 to 10 in downtown Cedar Hill with a short cruise before the show.

It is with great sorrow and heavy heart that I let you know of the passing of Becca, Shoob's wife.
I figured some of y'all may have had the opportunity to meet this very kind and sweet lady who filled Gary's life and was so supportive of our addictions.
She passed on Sunday, December 8th and services are this Saturday, the 14th.
I was fortunate to spend time with her and family in the time after Shoob's passing trying to assist with his collections and I can say she was an angel amongst mortals.
At least I can now say they are together once again ...
Godspeed and Rest in Peace, Becca Shubrook!

Here is a picture of Shubee at one of the later Bug In held in Fontana Calif. I was showing Shubee pictures from the past Bug ins and from our DVB club.

WOW, if you had known Shubee like I did, you will understand when I say .... W T F (heck)

Really, that is terrible news, and I find it very hard to believe.  Cry

Texas Tommy, I'm sorry to say, I won't be hopping on a plane to be there, but I would ask you
to please pass on my heartfelt thoughts. She must have been an angel to put up with him.

They can be re-united and we can all wonder what will happen next.  RIP Becca,  Ron

Spoke with Melisa last night ... I'll be staying in touch to help out as best I can. Luckily she has family with her for now.
So sorry for them and at this time of year ... things couldn't be worse.
Please keep Melisa and Cadan in your thoughts ... they've got a long road ahead.
