This is my 1963 beetle and my just-finished project. It took about 2 years to do a bare-metal rebuild and I completed it just before Christmas.

In the last couple of months I have also reconditioned a dual-port 1600 motor for it and also built a replica of a Westfalia Anhanger to tow behind her. We have the NZ national show in Dunedin over Easter and I will be driving the beetle with the trailer south 780 kilometres (500 miles) to get there so it needs to be reliable. I have owned about a dozen beetles and a beach buggy and have a 1967 beetle in my shed for the next project. I am currently building a narrowed beam for the front of this car as there is a bit of fender braking going on at the moment with the dropped spindles and 195 tyres up front.
