normally on a 67 beetle, you must have a small moldind on the pan and on the hood. the ragtop canvas is only for the standard 67 with option ( ragtop), on deluxe car you must have a steel ragtop.

you have a real 67deck lid with vw 1500 badge like the last 67 with disc brakes.

your car is very strange Huh  66/67 mixture?Huh?

Thanks for your interest Chris , the body of this 67 is a 1200 STD rag top Sparkafer , the vw factory cal looker " which would have come with no trim , five stud vented wheels with flat hub cap's " , with the only chrome to be seen on the car " with no horn grill on the right hand wing either .
These rag top cars were available in Jersey , Guernsey , Malta , I had a Maltese 67 rag top and sold it on , "they were commonly used as hire cars "
This particular car was indeed such a car till got hold of it back in 96 , I built the car for my wife and added 1500 running gear " hence the engine lid 1500 "
And shoot me but I also drilled the body for earlier wide trim , and added us spec bumpers with 67 deluxe black knob rear pop outs and chrome internal trim .
So in answer to your question yes it is a bit odd but we liked it at the time  Smiley

you know the pans yours if you need it mate

The original panels for the 67 are long gone as they were the boring grey STD ones
but I do have some very tired looking door trim - a bit on the drivers door and a rather shabby drivers door handle
will ship , let me know if interested & i'll send you some pics and prices

Hi Matt , the handles are spot on just 45 year old chrome  Wink I gave them a bit of recon last summer , would be happy with £50 for the pair with key and seals  Smiley

yep its the rubberized early knob / switch I thinks the plunger works , without pressurizing the bottle I can't tell , would like £30 for the naked single speed switch

Cool no problem , PM me your number , will be about early  Smiley

As perfect as can be for 45 years service , mirror clean and very tidy , glove box not holed or damage and still retains a good shape  Smiley

Hi Rob , the header is a ceramic coated 1" 1/2 4 into one " not merged " jobbie designed to take J tubes or heat exchangers
Mufler is my own home brewed sliced and diced bugpack

Hey Died's how you doin ?
Hey ho its had its time with me " twice " and it blew it LOL , the body's going to be used on a 67 restoration so it kinda lives on , so thats cool by me .
As for the deck lid catch its just what I had knocking around at the time and it worked , remember this was bak in the early 90's when i first bolted this back together
the attention to detail now is on a totally different level .

What you guy's up to this year ? you over for Gary picnic ? I'll have the 49 out with the new motor and running gear . Be good to catch up  Cool

Very sad mate!!! I loved this 67 Bug and drove it lovingly for about 5 years!. The person who has the engine will love it, gorgeous motor and what a shame the bugs finally died. RIP     Good luck
