That's why we got BF Torino's for the project car, vintage style but with the headrests.

Does anyone used this kind of seats from Summit? They are so cheap that's I wonder if they are for car or pedals go kart...

The Scat seats are pretty short so I don`t think a headrest would do much good.

I've got early 912 seats in my bug, like the ones in the ex-Goss/Seume chop-top, retrimmed in tan before I bought them. They feel just like armchairs, very comfortable, but big! I'll be sticking with stock seats in the '70, but the '51 will probably get Beards or the Empi/Race Trim copies.

Sorry guys, but Beard seats are dune buggie seats. Jackman wheels too? Yeah, but driving a cal looker on British roads can feel like you're going off-roading! Pot-holes the size of a deep sump...

I've found seats for my next project on a 58 sedan. Theyre were made 10 years ago and never used since. That's why the left one is full of dust. I also had tissue to cover doors panel. Will be cool in a black car

While I was in Tampa I saw a set of the Scat low backs for sale. They looked very comfortable. I am seriously considering swapping out my '67 lowbacks for a set of Scat lowbacks.

Haha, Jim you're too funny. Get to it and show us what it looks like The Scats are nice too! And Harry, i wanna see your seats again in Budel! Still like the idea of Bernie's buckets in tan to fit my interior Hey Died, i just use the Summit buckets. Dennis bought my Empi buckets (from Bernard N.) (BTW. sorry for my late reply.) Right now Bernard is restoring some 912 Seats for me. (Karmann Project)

If I remember right the Recaro`s are correct for those RS models: I had this recaro RS seats, very cool one but it was way to small for me (2meter)... I looked now for a while after a seat with headrests in 70`s style to suit me, but till now no model really suited me.

Felix - nice seat! That is the same as the 73 RSR except that it is an aftermarket recaro and not factory installed. If you decide to sell, let me know. Dave

...Beard seats are dune buggie seats...
We were sat (comfortably) in a restaurant in Havasu city and the people in the booth behind (one of which wasn't sitting so comfortably) were discussing the fact that the seats in a CLK weren't so comfortable with hemorrhoids so one of the guys suggested sticking Beards in it. This was a guy that had also confused the hell out of some turtle by putting it in the back of his pick up and driving it home to chill out in his hot tub, god knows why. So anyway good for dune buggies and piles.

Those ones are installed on my 67 bug: I love their look, very 70's, and they are very convenient with their wheel adjustment. Don't know the brand, anyone got an idea?
