I collected this today,it will be the team truck/tow vehicle/kitchen/shelter from the rain Wink   I have a few jobs to do before the 3000mile round trip taking in Bug run classic as well as SCC and some stunning scenery along the way

Wow! That's some camper/race truck! You are going to collect some Nectar points with that puppy on a 3,000 mile road trip. Me green with envy  Cool
That's gonna be one hell of a road trip. Very cool and good score!

Those old Mercedes are died reliable. We had a 709 (Been stolen  Embarrassed ) and a 813 which where awesome work horses. Rust is the main issue thought. 140hp is a bit tame for a such long trip but you should get good mpg.

4 years now I did the trip to the SCC and I miss it every time since.  Wink

Are you not racing at SCC2012?

We truly understand if you do not dare to race at the fearsome track...

But you still need tickets, don't you?

You'll save some money and guaranteed a camping or tent space.

Hi J-F,

you are correct, its not fast Shocked  but it seems to cruise along ok,for this trip we will take 3 weeks so it will save alot of money in hotel costs that we wont need now,and having the car inside in the dry is a real bonus.

It must be time for you to make the road trip again soon? that 4 years passed very quickly Smiley

cheers richie
