Hi to all

We're thinking about going to Norway on holiday with my wife and son (3years old) in Aug 2012 so we can also come to the SCC  Grin.
We're looking for a 'not to expensive' way to do this, so any advice is wanted (holidayhome, trip, ...)

Thanks!!!

What do you want do do?

It's not the cheapest country to move about, but you can get alot done.

For instance a trip by car around the bottom 1/3 of the country is nice Smiley

Hotels are not cheap, but you could rent small cabins at local camp-sites.

Hello

Thanks for the reply.
I went to SCC in 2008 and it was a blast  Grin.
Now my wife wants us to go to but as we have a little son (3years) it's not ideal to stay in a hotel  Roll Eyes. She also wants to see something else then old Volkswagen's  Cool.
So we were thinking about renting a little house to stay not to far from Gardermoen so we can go to the event for 1 or 2 days.

Hi Erlend,

Is this time of year very busy(with holidays), what I mean is do I have to pre-book those cabins?

Thanks Edgar

Hi Monkiboy

Did a lot of research and the most reasonable way for us would be:
drive to Frederichshaven (1100km) with a stop overnight in Hamburg or so when needed
take the ferry to Oslo
drive to Gardermoen or nearby (max 100km or so) Grin

We would leave on Tuesday or Wednesday, so we're looking for a rental house or so (Little cabin on a campsite) from about 15Aug until 22Aug.

Spent hours to arrange everything but now almost everything is booked. Still some problems to book, not easy without creditcard  Angry), so still waiting for some mails to be sure everything is OK.
We're from Friday until Tuesday in Norway (near Oslo), so would like to hear some nice things to do after SCC  Wink.

So SCC, here we come  Shocked Shocked Shocked!!!!
