Reason for sale:

What is not working:
For the 4th time the main gears of the limited slip dif are worne out, gears of the diff make noise.
1st time I thought it was a quality problem because the gears were made in China. I put later special SKF bearings inside with Brass cage.
2st time: After 3000KM the special SKF bearing had the same problem.
3th time: I bought SKF bearings with steel cage and a specialist put the diff inside with special tools and measure it out etc..
              But after +- 3000KM I had the same problem.

I'm done with it!
I will bring my bug back to a standard 4 speed gearbox. Also my  typ4 - 2.6 go later up for sale. I want to use the money for an other car.

km driven with the gearbox : +- 9000KM


What is working good:
All the 5 gears working perfect.
The 3th and the 4th gears are very close and fun with drive. 5th gear relax for cruising.
My bug is used for street and sometimes I run on Santa Pod or Bitburg the 1/4 mile. But not with springing cluth because It is not a trailer queen ( i have als to go home with it) , i drive to the meetings in Europe with it.


Want to sell this gearbox to somebody who think can make this.

It is not a cheap Gearbox, people know's what it cost.

When you buy the gearbox you will get new SKF main gears ( 2x) left and right) for the diff with it.
I order that bij the SKF dealer.

I know that it can be solve some day, but im done with it, want to sell my engine an gearbox and fuchs, the expensive things from my bug to buy something else..
