With upcoming refresh of my 2276 I started to investigate what are the possibilities on the market. What main/rod/cam bearings are good these days?

Thanks,

Clemex main and cams bearings, clevitte rods.

You can also find some old steelbacked K&S.

i don't see too many problems with what i use for the rods (even sinter metal or what it is called seems to hold up just fine)
cam bearings may need some filing on the trusts (KS and Mahle), but again no big problem just some attention that it all works
and if you are able to find steel backed center bearings i would suggest that. you come across them, but stay away from corroded or tarnished sets as they usually are beyond their expiration dates.

I try to find NOS steel backed Kolbenschmidt main bearings, but I did try a set of silverline bearings on the last street motor build. I havn't taken it apart, but it has quite a few miles on it so far with out issue.

Even if you're staggered with your bearings, pics explaining this a bit would be nice  Wink Just installed 2 sets of Kolbenschmidts with no other problems than misaligned oil feeding hole in CB alu case.
