Hey guys

Re the post on the for sale section, thought i would show you this.

This was his Dave Hamcke first car a Drag racer, he then kepth the engine and stuck in the 51.....

The one picture is of his NHRA legal drag sedan that he use to race in the old Modified Eliminator L/Gas sedan class back in 1975 through 1977. Best time was 10.95 at 121 mph.

The other two pictures are of the '51 when he first started working on it, after he sold the race car. The pictures were taken with the old Karmann Ghia seats that he had in it. This was also back when I had the Webster 5 speed transmission and the engine out of his drag car in it (although "detuned" to drive on the street and to use pump gas)......

I also had larger tires in the front (165 x 15) instead of the (135 x 15) and the front axle was a stock unit that was turned and welded, not the aluminum beam that's in it now.

Congrats Russell – been watching that car for ages and not worked out why anyone hadn't bought it yet!
