Ron rang me about an hour ago – he's like a dog (Flemdog) with two dicks! Grin

As he said to me, he threw open the garage door this morning and on one side was his black Porsche 911S, and on the other the white ragtop... What a choice! Cool

The only thing better than having a Porsche 911 or Cal Look Bug... having one of each sitting next to the other in one's garage. The ultimate dream in my book.

Congrats, Ron!

Oh Ron, your new sedan is so so cool. You didn't mention that it had a Porsche style fan housing. Remember Guy Newhouse's efforts on the overhead cam VW engine? To my recollection back in the late 70's early 80's  he was the first person to actually make the mods necessary for the Porsche fan housing to work and did the work at the shop.
I really, really like your car. I want to drive it...bad!
Congratulations, drive it in good health.
So cool !

It's good to see Ron cruising down PCH thru Sunset Beach in his 60' sunroof. Hopefully he brought a cool hat to wear.

Question, whats the difference between a fabric sunroof and a ragtop...ignorance.  A ragtop has been a convertible since before we were born.

Call it what you will, it only makes you look confused.     There.... that outta piss somebody off.  Grin

I dunno Phil... dictionary you cited says "an automobile having a folding canvas top;  convertible." That implies to me that a convertible is an example of "an automobile having a folding canvas top" but it doesn't necessarily imply that it's the only example.  Wink

It was also interesting that they cited that the word originated in the early 50s... not earlier as I would have thought.
