I agree, few things are carved in stone. My earliest recollections (50's), publications referred to conv's as ragtops. Does that also include 30's coupes/sedans with fabric roof panels? IMHO, in the common vernacular used by the past/current special interest auto world, the term "Ragtop" refers to a convertible of common pedigree.
EX. One certainly would not refer to a Duesenberg SJ Dual Cowl Phaeton as a ragtop, simply because of its folding fabric top. Inside our VW world, the term ragtop
has become a colloquialism. But amongst mixed car company it could be confusing...conv or sunroof?  I too a guilty of using slang or abbreviations, but I try to limit
them to fellow VW enthusiasts.  After all people judge us by the words we use.*

Was hanging out with the Pier Side Parts crew and a 50mph wind came up all the sudden and decided to take some awnings with it. One of the awnings didn't seem to care for Rons car to well and sailed right for it (The rear of Rons car is pictured in the background) Hope the new car didn't see any damage.
