Here are some of my Classic week pictures. I have never been to the Classic and while working on my 66 it was decided to take the car down after it was done (in my eyes). This has been a long time plan for me and my friend Silas from Vancouver Canada who would be driving down with his 64 with his girlfriend.

I should have had plenty of time to finish the car, but everything takes more time then it should when you have a deadline. The car had just had a headliner/carpet installed a few days before we left. Leaving no time to do a shake down which was not ideal, but I figured I would be in the right place if I had any issues. We hit all the main events, Nicks, Octo, GFK anniversary, and of course the big show on Sunday.

I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Both cars ran great and made it everywhere without missing a beat.

Our buckets from outta state!

Best of show?

Me to!

PCH in my 66, best part of the trip.

Loading up for the trip home.

It was a bit hot on I5 north.

Back in Oregon.

That car came out really well, Chris. It looks great. No doubt you had a great time with it.

Chris, I've said it before... I really dig your car. Excellent job leaving the wheels alone. The engine is nice, too... all business and very simple. Black exhaust is also a nice touch. Glad that you had a fun trip.

Thanks everyone for the complements. I think I am just now recovering from all the driving and yes the Fj is no hybrid, but it was very much worth the money to have a car down there for the weekend.

Now it's time to get the car dialed and tuned so I can start driving it around Portland!
