Thanks Larry. If I could get some free time I'd love to cruise mine down to meet Mean Green. Not sure when that's gonna happen though. Busy summer!

Fred, you're right ... I hated taking that frame off. Dave's has better mojo, though.

I hear you about busy summer. I am still waiting for my 66 and still waiting to drive it once. Anytime you want to come down. Love to show you the car. I still can't believe it is sitting in my garage. Have some things I have picked up for it already so we are moving ahead. I got a replica of the Berg shifter for it....Bent by Mark Voegtly and I just received a set of Berg axles for the car. I would have parted out my 66 to get the car done already but I would have regretted it. Hopefully you can come down when the 66 is here so I don't have to drive my stock patina'd 60...haha....There is nothing like a two litre....

I do need to get Ohio Tom's number from you when you get a chance. I am trying to get my motor parts in order.

Thanks

Larry

Larry, I'll send you a PM with some info when I get a sec. And if I find myself heading down that way I'll let you know for sure.

Back and forth, tuning, swapping jets, etc., all summer. Finally had a very satisfactory day at the track yesterday.

Car ran a best of 13.60 @ 97 mph, and consistently 13.75 – 13.76 most of the day. Drove 60+ miles to the track, took the tools and spare out of the trunk, ran it hard all day, and drove it home. Can't complain about that.

Hey! Another year goes by, and everything is finally the same color.

Mike Maize came by for a few hours today and he straightened out my bumper holes so the new rubbers would fit right. He also straightened out my apron that had a large curb dent, so I had to make him an extra cheeseburger for that effort.

I had a great day ... time for a beer!
